| Scottish Highland cattle are an all purpose breed famous mostly in our country for their lean meat. Highlands will grow a thicker, longer coat of hair to keep warm rather than put on extra fat in the winter months. This hair can also be used as a fiber to spin with (something we are now looking into). These animals are extremely docile, and the cows can make fine milking animals as well. Their unique horns, shaggy coats and curious gentle temperaments make them fun to watch and raise. |
| Viola, a black senior cow and wonderful mother giving us beautiful dun colored heifers four years in a row! |

There is nothing cuter than a fluffy teddy bear like Highland calf! Couldn't you just hug them! |

| Highland cattle are a hearty breed that has little need for assistance in calving or even shelter. Highlands thrive in the cold as their thick coats protect them from the elements. Our animals do have shelter available to them year round but seldom can be found there. |
