Our Brahmas come in three color varieties Buff, Light and Dark An exceptionally quiet, gentle, and easy to handle bird. Their small pea comb, great size, and heavy plumage make them almost immune to cold weather. The hens are good layers of brown eggs, especially in winter, and will also set. Cockerels develop a tremendous frame, grow rather slowly, but when fully fleshed make a beautiful roasting chicken. They are easy to dress with light plumage and yellow skin.

The Speckled Sussex is a rare, gentle and extremely attractive breed originated in Sussex County, England where they became widely known as prolific layers of medium sized brown eggs averaging as much as an egg per day. When mature their plumage is a beautiful brownish red with feathers tipped in white. This variety combines beauty and utility which makes them an excellent choice for both your backyard flock as well as a stunning show bird.

Visiting a poultry barn in Prince Edward Island last summer our Molly fell in love with the giant appearance of the Embden Goose. She has placed an order with our hatchery to add these birds to our water fowel in late April. We will be purchasing several more than we need so we can in turn offer some of these goslings to you. See our sales page for details and below for info on the breed!

White Embden geese originated by the Em River in Germany and were first brought to the U.S. in 1821. They have the same massive appearance as the Toulouse, combined with a pure white color. They are a wonderful eating bird and easier to dress because of the white plumage. They have gentle temperament and can be expected to reach fall weights of 20 pounds for males and 13 pounds for females. Also excellent for purebred showing.
